Honduras Mission Trips to the LAMB Institute

Honduras is a long way from Milton, Georgia, but each summer parishioners from St. Aidan’s are part of the team going to LAMB to be Christ’s hands and feet.  And there’s also a role in this ministry for those who can’t make the trip.  As a parish, we support the mission team and its work at the LAMB Institute by contributing to the Sunday loose-plate offerings; by supporting the mission team’s carwash; by donating a pair of new athletic shoes and a new towel for a child or teacher in the school; by attending the annual “Pasta with a Purpose” dinner held in Burtenshaw Hall.  Our Outreach budget also makes a contribution to the cause.

“Life-changing” is the word most often used by mission team members returning from a trip to the LAMB Institute in Honduras.  For the past several years, St. Aidan’s has sent a team of youth and adults for an intense week-long mission trip to LAMB, a Christ-centered multifaceted ministry founded in 1999 as a training school for Hondurans called to world mission and based in Tegucigalpa, Honduras.  “Will you go back to Honduras?” you may ask a recent team member. The answer is always “Yes!”
