St. Aidan’s Preschool

St. Aidan’s is a bustling, busy place on Sunday mornings.  But Sunday isn’t the only busy day around here! Each Monday through Friday during the school year, our campus and facilities are home to the St. Aidan’s Preschool and Mother’s Morning Out (MMO), wonderful, healthy outreach ministries to the community.  Currently, 92 students of varioius faith backgrounds from the area, ranging in ages from 18 months to 5 years, are enrolled in developmentally appropriate programs and are given the opportunity to grow to their fullest potential in a loving, Christian environment.

The Preschool offers a variety of classroom and school-wide programs including weekly chapel, music and movement, Spanish, and Handwriting without Tears.  Staff members are CPR and First Aid-trained and are up to date on their Safeguarding God’s Children requirement.  During the past several summers, the Preschool has held two weeks of summer camp, once again utilizing our fabulous facilities.

The Preschool and Mother’s Morning Out were established by St. Aidan’s as part of our goals to reach families with young children and part of our mission to make Jesus Christ known in our community. We are proud to say that families have joined the parish after being introduced to St. Aidan’s through these programs. Our rector is the chair of the Preschool board and plays an integral part in showing all of what St. Aidan’s has to offer seven days a week.

Far more important are the intangibles these ministries bring to both the church and the community.  Hearing a child’s laughter; children’s sweet, high voices; a class of children singing “Jesus Loves Me”.  These are embodiments of God’s pure love.
